Custom horse portraits are one of our art products which have recently been introduced. We paint all types of horses from thoroughbreds racing in the Melbourne Cup to the family pony grazing in the back yard.
Melissa, a bloodstock agent at Randwick, in Sydney, wanted a photo turned into a painting as a christmas gift for her partner who is also a huge racing fan.
She sent us this photo of a famous race finish at Rosehill Racecourse from a few years ago… continue reading »

If you are looking for a unique first wedding anniversary gift idea or 50th wedding anniversary present then we have a suggestion. Over the past year we received more commissions from people who wanted their favourite wedding photo or image painted into a wedding portrait. The request usually came from the husband or wife; and also from the children (gift for mum and dad). See our latest examples…

The process is simple; simply send us a photograph of the image you would like painted and we will reply with a quote and suggestions. For example, some photos are looking old and faded. The artists will paint the portrait with brilliant colour and contrast…so the painting will generate a powerful energy which radiates from the portrait. Sometimes the background is plain or just plain wrong! We send the photo to our graphics department and they will suggest a background. The team will adjust the photo and digitally insert an appropriate background for you to see. We will send the image to you via email for your inspection. When you are 100% happy with the image we will instruct our professional portrait artists to start the commission. continue reading »

This photo was sent to us by Rebecca in Perth. Her Mother just bought a house in France and this was a gift to her (to be presented New Year’s Eve) to put up in the house when she arrived.
House and landscape portraits make wonderful gift ideas and just look how accurate our house painting artists get to the original photo…
The first image is the original photo Rebecca sent us…

Then, after around 7 days we sent the finished house portrait to Rebecca to inspect via an image attachment in an email….she loved it…see it below…

At Direct Art Australia we have a huge online gallery with many famous artists to choose from. Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh and more. If you can’t see your favourite artist we will find them and send you a quote.
